Inspired by Drawing Board Jam

This is a blog for some of my illustrations and drawings, some quick studies and art exercises.

Wonderful work as usual! I am always so amazed at the beauty you seem to be able to create digitally.
The wings made me think of Ron Muecks Angel, have you seen his sculptures? we saw the Angel at the Saatchi gallery in London a couple of years ago. Very strange and moving pieces he makes, especially because of the scale.

Fabulous, Fiona. Rock solid.
Thanks Penny, Jonathan!
I have seen some of Ron Muecks work in the flesh (so to speak). Tho not his Angel piece. They are scarily real!
Wow - practising those skin tones has certainly paid off!
Thanks Frog! Practice makes perfect... well, I'm still practising but it's coming along ;o)
Hi Fes,
It's the size of his work that makes them strange dont you think, all the bodies are so life like, especially the skin and hairs, and all in proportion, but weird scale, tiny or huge. I found them disturbing but also very interesting, I like them.
Penny.
I remember seeing Muecks "My Dead Dad" which was really freaky. Just the thought that it was actually his dead dad in miniature was quite uncomfortable! His work gives me a weird sensation. Definitely gallery stuff. I wouldn't want one on my coffee table! ;o)
Found you thru bloglog. your work is great!
i am stuck for words. amazing. i had a look at the drawing board jam and i do have to say that yours was one of the best ones there! dx.
